Lately, I've been fascinated by mirrors: such common items.

My cat is scared to death of his image in the mirror. It turns out that cats are not smart enough to understand that it's their own image in the mirror that they're looking at. However, it's not the fact that the cat can't comprehend the fact that it's not his image that he's seeing that makes me chuckle. It's the fact that he's looking at himself and doesn't like what he sees.

I start to wonder about how humans would react if they could see themselves in a mirror and not know that they're looking at themselves. Would we like what we see?
