When an American flag has become an unfitting emblem for display, the proper procedure for disposing the flag is to burn them. So, it would seem that burning a flag is not such an evil crime. However, if the intent of burning the flag is to desecrate the flag, some people in Washington want to make that illegal. Hmmm, think about that one; burning the flag is fine, but burning it when your intent is disrespect, it's not. So, the government is trying to make your thoughts illegal?

The Flag Desecration Amendment didn't pass through the senate today. I'm glad.
