I had a bad day today.

Pretty much, I just found out something really bad that happened to a friend of mine. The really strange part is that if the same thing happened to me, I doubt that I would barely lose an hour of sleep over it.1 This is perhaps one of the strangest feelings that I've known. I don't know whether to feel bad, happy or normal.

On a side note, it's my half birthday today. This isn't exactly the way that I had hoped to celebrate it though.

  1. Of course, I don't sleep well anyway, so I need every precious second of sleep that I can get.
