I am convinced that there is no note, scale, chord, style or instrument that is evil. If it makes noise, it's holy… unless it's country music of course! No, I hate country music, but I'm sure that God doesn't. While He may listen to classical as his music, I'm sure that He speaks jazz as His native language. If God is as awesome as I picture Him, He's the inventor of jazz just as He is the inventor of all good things. Music is truly a blessing to all people. I don't believe that rock-and-roll can save your soul, but it can keep you alive. It's also great to listen to an album that you haven't listened to for a long time and say, “I remember when I used to listen to this all the time. Those were good days.” Then again, it's not good to do that.¹ Just let the music make the present moment better. Let music fill the silence.
